CHAPTER IV: THE LIFE WE LEAD - PART II -NEXT UP

Somewhere in there Frankie called and we talked a bit and agreed and promised and took a blood(less) oath to meet up over the weekend and there would be pictures and stories and omg, and I decided that come Hell or high something or other NOTHING would keep me from Frankie, but then...there was Charlie but no, not even him, but...no.

Funny in life how things seem to not always go as you think they will or think they should or the way you are convinced is the way they should and then PFFFFFT. Nope, not a chance and you either go with it or just DIE on the spot or start laughing uncontrollably or SOMETHING like that. But then again, sometimes things go off without a hitch and you keep wondering how that happened. LOL.

Okay, so we did meet up as promised that weekend, me with Charlie in tow, at Mickey D's, late on Saturday afternoon for burgers and rings and whatever else was on tap (no beer of course) and then after making damn fools of ourselves as usual (and Charlie fit right in btw) we headed to my house and the picturefest of Ye Olde Europe as told by Frankie DeLisiano and a cast of thousands or would have been but they were all sick that day so...

It was incredible. He did London first (and last) and then Ireland and Scotland and then back to London and then Paris and Rome and Berlin and Amsterdam and then back to London and then flew home barely making it before school started. Great pictures which he had gotten up on You Tube, and I was jealous and Charlie said he was too and he said he had never been anywhere, and I vowed right then and there WE WOULD.

Charlie and I would SEE THE WORLD by God and all that is holy or holey or whatever.

We wound up the evening with milkshakes and burgers down in the rec room and then we all got sleepy and I laugh but we all nodded out on the couches in the Rec room. Big time SEENYAHS all and we asleep before midnight.

Sunday Frankie stayed until after dinner and then went home and Charlie, me, Teddy, and the 'rents got into a heated game of Monopoly and then dad and Charlie played some pool, while mom and I did some baking (I make a mean peanut butter cookie thank you), and then we feasted on ice cream sundaes down in the bar with tah dah, cookies and a cake or three.

I should note that all through this first few weeks Charlie and I just kept getting closer and closer and I began to realize that I never NEVER wanted to be without him and eventually he told me that he felt the same way and omg, what was happening? I would have never dreamed my life would be with another dude Charlie or not, but here we were and by the end of the school year we knew. Yeah, we did. We knew this was it for us.

Frankie always had no end of fun kidding me too. I had wondered in the beginning how he would take Charlie and me being an 'item' if you will, but I should have known. We had been so close for so long...he took it in stride, said he was happy for me, and I know he was...and is. THAT is a friend, by God.  So we soon became the three musketeers and pretty notorious around the school which bothered all of us NOT ONE BIT.

I just wish for everyone to have a friend like Frankie and a mate like Charlie. It is the bestest thing ever. Life in high school senior year turned out to be unexpectedly GOOD. But good things must come to an end and all.

Suddenly it was time for high school to be over and the being the middle child thingy and the CHILD thingy, and then it was college and OMG, now what?

We would find out. Oh yes we would.

We ended SEENYAH YEEAH on a high note. Big party and the commencement and oh all the fun we had and then it was over. HIGH SCHOOL WAS OVER. OMG. OVER. MY LIFE IS...ok, not quite. There was still college to do and Charlie and I were headed to Stanford and so was Frankie (we had decided that long ago), and finally Stanford caught up to our decision and said ok, and so we all headed to California in July to get ready for TAH DAH, THE THREE MUSKETEERS DO STANFORD. YAYYYY.

Thanks to our parents all, we were gonna live off-campus in a house which was just short of magnificent...ok, no it was magnificent and we were gonna make it our own for the next four years.
Two story and a big old place and ABSOLUTELY FAAAABULOUS it was.  We were gonna party hearty and try to get in a class or two once in a while, but of course that was fantasy and we knew it.

My only fear was that we would INDEED trash the place (Stanford in total) within a week, and then what?

We shall see, won't we. OH YES WE SHALL.
